Applies to: ConnectWise Manage & Quickbooks Online (QBO)
QBO allows for products to be categorized, but without proper Product ID's inside Manage, duplicate products will be created. This article outlines how to format Product ID's to ensure they map to existing QBO categorized products.
Here's how to do it:
- Inside Manage, locate the product in question
- Update the Product ID to match this format: Category Name:Product ID
- Save the Product ID
- Sync an invoice with this product as necessary
With this formatting, the product will match up to existing categorized products inside QBO. If the Product ID inside Manage is simply the Product Name from QBO, without the Category, it will create a new uncategorized product in the QBO product list.
