Applying Credit Notes

When creating Credit Notes in Connectwise, you need to apply them both in ConnewctWise and your Accounting Package (Xero/QBO) as we don't have an available API for credit notes.

Here is a step-by-step process to follow:

  1. Create a Credit memo in ConnectWise, best practice is to name it with the related invoice, for example, CN + the Inv#. Naming the credit note this way would be helpful for easy tracking.

  2. Sync the Credit Note via Invoice Sync and manually apply the credit to the invoice in Xero/QBO 
  3. In ConnectWise, you also need to manually apply the Credit note.
