Quick Link > Creating Custom User Menu in ConnectWise

Update 10 Feb, 2016: Following changes to PCI Compliance, a new QuickLink is required for all login functions, adding the URL to the Wise-Sync website will not display the login page. Only the QLink generated from within the Application will allow the login page to display. Only the sync functions are available via a QLink, any other menu items will require that you log in with your user account when you try to access configuration areas of the site, including: Account, Company, Users and Wise-Pay

Supported ConnectWise Versions: This feature is only available on ConnectWise Versions v2014.3 and later

We've created this feature to bring the integration so far into the ConnectWise user experience that you'd almost think that we're part of the illustrious Modern Office.

With the release of the Custom User Menu's in ConnectWise, this brings opportunity for menu SaaS delivered integration partners to share the ConnectWise user experience, without the need to break out to a new browser. What Wise-Sync has done has brought this experience even closer, with the creation of our New Quick link feature which will provide users with the abilty to click the menu in ConnectWise and directly access Wise-Sync without the need to login.

So how do you do it, check out our QuickLink video which which we've dubbed "Click-Click-Boom".

Refer to the following steps on Setting up the Custom Menu and Quick Links

Creating a Account Quick Link

Account QuickLinks are required where you do not want to link through to an authenticated user. This will allow Wise-Sync to work when embeded in a ConnectWise Tab or Window. Without enabling the QuickLink, the application is blocked from embedding due to PCI requirements surrounding X-Frame embed functions.

An account level Q-Link will simply display the Login Screen, so that users can login with their username and password to Access Wise-Sync.

Note: Due to the limited implementation of Browser Objects in the ConnectWise window / tab, features such as last-pass, key chain and chrome password fill-in will not work. Nothing we can do about that as it is the way that the browser is implemented by ConnectWise.
