Now that you have enabled Real-Time Sync for your ConnectWise company, you can now set up a new tab within ConnectWise Manage where you can view the Sync Results for that company. In this tab, you are able to action any sync errors and/or warnings you may have, saving you from the need to log into Wise-Sync to view them!
Note:
The Tab is only compatible from ConnectWise Manage version 2020.4 and up. It is not compatible with any versions below 2020.4.
Note:
Currently only Invoice Sync and Automatic Payment Sync results are displayed in the new ConnectWise Manage Tab. As we iterate development on this tab throughout the year, you will see more sync types, such as Payment, Expenses and Procurement and Inventory displayed here.
In most cases, the ConnectWise Sync Tab should already be displayed for you when you next log in to ConnectWise Manage. To view it:
- In ConnectWise Manage, open the Today page: go to 'My Favorites' > 'Today'
- A tab labeled Wise-Sync - {Company Name} should be displayed
If the Sync tab for your company is not automatically displayed on the Today page, please follow the below steps:
- In ConnectWise Manage, open the Today page: go to 'My Favorites' > 'Today'
- Click the cog icon and select the relevant company from the 'Not Displayed' list in the Tab Configuration pop up
- Click the right arrow to add the company to the 'Displayed' list
- Click Save
- Click back on the Today page. You should now see the new tab displayed for the company selected in the previous steps.
- Click on the company tab.
Your ConnectWise user account then will be authenticated in Wise-Sync. In this step, Wise-Sync confirms that the logged in user has access to that company in Wise-Sync before it displays the tab contents.
If it is unable to authenticate the user (i.e. the logged in user does not have access to the company in Wise-Sync), an error message will be displayed. Please reach out to our Support Team if you have any issues.
Note:
Your default email address in ConnectWise Manage for the syncing company must match the email address configured for that same company in Wise-Sync.

The above steps need to be done in ConnectWise per user and per company
Once the Tab is setup, you are able to see the following:
- Invoice Sync Statistics widget:
1. Displays the count of successfully synced invoices for the current calendar month.
2. Displays any Invoice sync warnings that require your action.
3. Displays any sync errors that require your action. - Automatic Payment Statistics: If you have Wise-Pay enabled, you will also see the Automatic Payment Statistics widget:
4. Displays the count of successfully matched automatic payments.
5. Displays any 'unmatched' automatic payments that require your action. - The actions in the top right corner will do the following
6. Open Wise-Pay: This will open your Wise-Pay dashboard in a new window. Currently you will be required to login using your Wise-Pay credentials.
7. Open Wise-Sync: This will open your Wise-Sync home screen in a new window. Currently you will be required to login using your Wise-Sync credentials.
8. Reload Page: If you have taken any action to resolve invoice errors or warnings, clicking 'reload Page' will refresh the sync results displayed. - Scroll down to view and take action on the sync errors and warnings:
Action Result Dismiss This will simply remove the warning message from being displayed for that invoice.
Note: The sync result for that invoice will also be removed from the Invoice Sync Results widget for that invoiceManual Batch This will remove the error from being displayed and stop the invoice from being posted to your Accounting Package.
This is the same action as when you manually 'Remove Record' for an invoice within ConnectWise Manage.
Note: If the Invoice can't be manually batched (ie it's not in the Unposted Invoices list), the error will simply be dismissed.Re-Sync This option allows you to re-sync the invoice to your Accounting Package once you have made the necessary changes in ConnectWise or to your Accounting Package. It will un-batch the invoice in ConnectWise Manage and requeue it for real-time sync.
If the actual invoice needs to be updated, you will still be required to delete batch, re-open it, update it and then close it. The sync will then automatically be re-queued for Real-Time Sync.
Note: If the invoice has an Automatic Payment that is in Queued or Scheduled state, the automatic payment will be cancelled then re-queued for the updated amount.
If the invoice has an Automatic Payment that is in Pending or Paid state, a re-sync won't be possible. A new invoice or credit memo might need to be created for the updated payment amount. Upcoming enhancements/known issues:
Below is a list of enhancements and known issues we are looking at implementing/fixing over the next few months. We will update this list as we iterate.
If you experience any issues that aren't listed below, please refer to the Troubleshooting FAQ
- Ability to search the sync results by Invoice no. or Company Name.
- Ability to view the count of invoices in the sync queue.
- An authenticated log on to Wise-Sync and Wise-Pay from the Tab.
- Ability to set the warning threshold for rounding errors so invoices with a rounding under the threshold do not result in a sync warning.
- Ability to choose to warn or not when invoices contain truncation messages.
- Ability to re-sync successfully synced unpaid invoices.
- The ability to automatically sync Payments from your Accounting Package
- The ability to manually sync and view sync results for Expenses, Procurement/Inventory in the Tab.
- KNOWN ISSUE: For Automatic Payment errors that you have fixed in Wise-Pay by deleting the automatic payment for that invoice, the error in the ConnectWise Manage Tab is currently not updated and will still appear. For now, simply click Dismiss to remove the error from being displayed.
- RELEASED: Ability to view Wise-Sync messages in the Tab ie. For Connection issues, when the sync is blocked etc
- RELEASED: Ability to sort the sync results
- RESOLVED - Known Issue: Clicking 'Reload' reduces the Successfully Synced Invoice count.
- RESOLVED - Known Issue: There are some instances where Re-Syncing an invoice is resulting in a error.
- RELEASED - We will be including the ability to create a Manual Batch for errored invoices. This function will allow you to dismiss the error and not post the invoice to your Accounting Package.
- RELEASED: We will be displaying all successful sync result messages in the sync results list.
- RELEASED: We will be updating the Successful Stats count to be for the calendar month rather than last 30 days.
- RELEASED: Ability to filter by sync result type.
- RESOLVED: Known Issue: clicking the hyperlink for an invoice number is currently broken, but the 'View in Acct.' button does the same thing and is working.
- RESOLVED: Future dated agreement invoices do not currently sync when they are closed in ConnectWise Manage.
